Description
“Baja Chorus Frog”
Baja chorus frog, (Pseudacris hypochondriaca)
12″x9″cold press watercolor paper printed with eucalyptus, sand cherry, illustrated with pencil
In 2024 the San Gorgonio River ran all summer for the first time in 20 years that I can remember. The pools the river left behind from its initial raging spring flow was home to thousands of frogs. The photo this illustration is based on captured an afternoon of catching tadpoles and photographing frogs. Pure joy.
