Great-Horned Owl, (Bubo virginianus)
9.25″x12.5″Hot press watercolor paper, pencil, watercolor, eucalyptus, wisteria, eucalyptus punch outs and mulberry overdye.
This was one of my early illustrations on plant prints when I was experimenting with mulberries to dye plant prints. The reference photo was one I took years ago of a great-horned owl I worked with at the bird show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
